LAUNCHING ANOTHER CAUSTIC SODA PLANT - September 19, 2016

 

 

By the grace of Almighty Allah, It is with immense pleasure to inform that the Company’s state of the art energy efficient and eco-friendly Ion Exchange Membrane Plant-2 (Phase-II)having capacity of 25,000 M. Ton Per Annum has commenced its Commercial Operations. The Project Cost along with auxiliaries is around Rupees "Seven Hundred and Fifty Millions". This Plant is in addition to Company’s Ion exchange Membrane Plant-2 (Phase-I), launched last year. The inclusion of new IEM Plant-2 (Phase-II) testifies the Management’s commitment to cater the interest of its stakeholders as well as to meet the future requirements of its valuable Customers.

 The Company’s Management would like to place on record its appreciation to the valuable Shareholders, Customers, Banks and Government Departments for their trust, confidence, persistent support and patronage.

Launch of SAP All In One Solution - March 01, 2013

The ICL I.T. department has launched the SAP All In One solution throughout the organization in order to stream-line operations as Ittehad continues to update its initiatives.

TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AGREEMENT (September 11, 2014)

 

 

Al Technique Corporation of Pakistan(ATCOP),a subsidiary company of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), has entered into an Agreement with
Ittehad Chemicals Limited(ICL) for Technology Transfer and commercialization of an indigenously reserached bacterial fertilizer,by the name of  Biopower.
 The fertilizer, a flora of bacteria is highly beneficial for crops, was
 developed by National Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering(NIBGE),a lab of PAEC.

Ittehad Life Sciences

Ittehad chemicals Limited (ICL on Karachi Stock Exchange) has partnered with Invitro Vogue Pvt. Ltd, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, and University of Karachi to envisage to the country’s first veterinary vaccine contract manufacturing organization (CMO) based on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)The Vaccine Manufacturing facility of Ittehad Life Sciences will be Pakistan’s first state of the art BSL-III animal vaccine manufacturing facility.

ICL and the Community


ICL has a unique and intrinsic relationship with its community. The following projects have been established for the welfare of its workers and for the locals.

Project No.1
Sports Activities for Workers (On-going) 

In order to create a healthy environment and social activities, respective teams of cricket and badminton, constituting ICL workers, have been selected with the entire tournament funding arranged by the company.

Project No.2
Free Medication/Medicine for Locals (On-going)

For facilitating the local residents, the company doctor will visit local residential areas to provide free medicine and medical check-up.

Project No.3
Renovation of Local Mosques

Requests for renovation and other equipments for the locally established mosques have been received from residents. As such, the two mosques are renovated every year.

Project No.4
Sewing School for Girls (On-going)

Two sewing school for local girls are in operation with twenty girls registered in each school. Two lady teachers are hired to teach sewing and stitching, with a third school being set up in a nearby locality.

Project No.5
Up-gradation / Renovation of Local Schools

To raise the standard of the local schools up-gradation and renovation have been planned. Few of the local schools need a science laboratory and some schools are in need of computers. Apart from this, most schools need their buildings to be renovated.

Project No.6
Water Taps for Local Residents

Forty clean drinking water hand pumps have already been installed for the local residents. Other areas have also been identified for boring and providing clean water. One hand pump each month is to be installed.

Project No.7
Free Eye Camps for Local Residents

Free eye camp was setup a couple of years ago for the local residents. A medical team of doctors from Karachi were arranged. A similar eye camp has been planned in Nov.2009.

Project No.8
Bi-cycle Scheme (On-going)
This scheme is for workers below the grade scale of supervisor cadre. The procedure adopted for giving the bi-cycles is on six equal monthly installments. Twenty bi-cycles will be given in this project on installment basis. Project is on continual basis until the requests for bi-cycles end.

Project No.9
Wedding Gift (On-going)
To help employees at the time of marriage of their daughters, financial assistance is provided. This scheme is in progress and the employees below supervisor cadre benefit from it.
